10 Best Things to Do in Huntsville AL

When I first moved to Huntsville, I was amazed by how much there is to do here. It’s not just rockets and science—though we’ve got plenty of that–it’s a city full of life and Southern charm.

If you’re planning a visit, here’s a superb list of what to see in Huntsville AL:

U.S. Space & Rocket Center

Image of a large rocket stands tall outside the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, with the American flag prominently displayed at half-mast beside it. The sky is cloudy, casting a dramatic atmosphere over the scene. The building, modern and expansive, serves as a backdrop, with large glass windows and the center's name clearly visible in bold black letters. Trees and a few cars can be seen in the foreground, and a road runs along the bottom of the image. The overall scene highlights a space exploration facility with a patriotic and scientific focus.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in the Rocket City tops my list of things to do in Huntsville. If space exploration piques your interest even a little, you’ll find this place fascinating because it’s a blast for anyone curious about space tech. Get up close with actual rockets and learn about the history of space exploration. The Saturn V Hall is particularly awe-inspiring, and its interactive exhibits make it engaging for all ages.

Stovehouse

Visiting Stovehouse is one of the best things to do in Huntsville. Stovehouse is one of those places where you can spend the whole day without realizing it. This old factory has been turned into a lively spot with all sorts of food, shops, and live music. I often spend evenings here enjoying local cuisine while listening to live music.

Campus 805 Brewery

If you’re into craft beer and are visiting Huntsville, Campus No. 805 is the place to be. It’s housed in a former middle school, and it is now a hotspot for breweries, restaurants, and even an escape room.
